On September 1, 2026, WAY staff and volunteers, together with the Association’s President, took part in a volunteering activity at Maedat Al Mahabba (The Table of Love) in El-Mina, Tripoli.
The visit brought together six members of the WAY team for a day of community engagement, teamwork, and service in support of an initiative dedicated to providing meals to people and families facing difficult circumstances.
Giving Back Through Volunteering

WAY’s participation was an opportunity to contribute directly to a local community initiative. Throughout the activity, the team worked alongside the kitchen’s volunteers in preparing and packaging meals, sharing responsibilities and working together to support the day’s efforts.
For WAY, volunteering is more than simply giving time. It is an opportunity to connect with the community, encourage solidarity, and turn shared values into practical action.
Working Together for the Community

Maedat Al Mahabba, operated by Fakkir Be Ghayrak (Think of Others), has become a longstanding example of community-based solidarity in Tripoli. The initiative provides free meals and brings together volunteers from different backgrounds around a simple but meaningful purpose: ensuring that people in the community can access a warm meal.
WAY was proud to contribute to this effort alongside the volunteers at Maedat Al Mahabba. The experience highlighted the importance of cooperation and collective action in responding to community needs.
A Day of Service and Connection

The day was also an opportunity for the WAY team to experience firsthand the work that goes into making a community initiative possible, from preparing the food to organizing and distributing the meals.

The visit to Maedat Al Mahabba reflects WAY’s commitment to community engagement, volunteerism, and supporting initiatives that make a positive difference in people’s lives.
WAY thanks the team at Maedat Al Mahabba and Fakkir Be Ghayrak for welcoming its staff and volunteers and for the opportunity to contribute to their ongoing work.
