The United We Stand project ran throughout 2019 with funding from Zivik/ifa. It brought together Lebanese youth from different backgrounds to work on social cohesion and community stabilization in Tripoli and its surroundings.
Over the course of the year, 200 participants took part in structured dialogue sessions, community action projects, and peer learning workshops. Participants reported stronger relationships across community lines and a greater sense of civic responsibility.
The project built directly on three previous peacebuilding programs. Each cycle strengthened the network of trained peace agents in the region. By 2019, WAY had trained over 500 individuals in conflict resolution and peacebuilding across four consecutive projects.
The lessons from United We Stand now inform the design of our current programs, including TLYV 2030.
